Quality Engineer

For more than 95 years, VetterTec, headquartered in Kassel, Germany, has been developing and manufacturing machines and systems for industrial drying and dewatering, primarily for the food industry. As a world-wide operating company, we generate more than 85% of our sales abroad. The key to our success is our team of over 160 employees at six locations. 

To strengthen our team in Pune, India, we are looking for an Quality Engineer.

Your Responsibilities:

• Inspection of incoming goods at our shop premises
• Verification of the manufacturing process and regular inspection of fabrication workflow at the in-house & fabricator’s workshop
• Collaboration with the technical team regarding quality matters, especially in case of deviations from the standard process and when dealing with new projects or adapting to new technologies
• Coordination with the technical team on quality decisions, including collaboration with external inspection and other stakeholders
• Establish, maintain, control and expand the in-house quality assurance in coordination with manufacturing and engineering
• Internal audit of material procurement and adjustment of workflows at the fabricator and contractor group
• Managing the manufacturing process with the fabricator’s QA engineer
• Continuous improvement of the quality management system
• Coordinating the FAT internally and with the customer

Your Profile:

• Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering or at least Diploma from a reputable institute
• A minimum of 5 years’ of professional experience
• Experience in quality management, especially in quality assurance, steering and planning
• Testing experience - ASNT Level 2, Radiography Test (RT), Penetration Test (PT),
• Ultrasonic Test (UT), Visual Test (VT)
• Good knowledge of welding inspection - CSWIP 3.1, third-party certification would be advantageous
• Knowledge of materials according to ASME, IBR, etc.
• Fabrication knowledge (casting & machining) of pressure vessels would be advantageous
• Understanding of mechanical testing, NABL procedures, and equipment handling
