Now, as we continue to expand our presence and accelerate our global growth, we are strengthening our team in Pune, India, with a strategic and influential role:
Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Working closely with the Managing Director, you will help create the operational backbone of our Pune site: building structures, setting standards, establishing effective processes and ensuring that Production, Engineering and Quality can grow in a stable and scalable way.
The role requires someone who takes ownership, makes sound operational decisions, works in a structured and hands-on manner, and is able to balance process discipline with the flexibility needed in a growing environment. You will also play an important role in ensuring strong collaboration with our international teams and supporting a site that will increasingly contribute to global operations.
Your Responsibilities:- Lead the daily operations of the Pune site across Production, Engineering, Quality and Purchasing
- Build and establish clear operational structures, responsibilities and workflows in close alignment with the local CEO
- Introduce standards and processes that create reliability, while keeping enough flexibility for a growing organization
- Ensure smooth cooperation between local teams, external fabricators and international interfaces
- Drive process flow, delivery reliability, quality performance and resource planning
- Take ownership of operational issues, claims and corrective actions, and ensure problems are solved in a structured way
- Build a culture of accountability, implementation and continuous improvement without creating bottlenecks
- Contribute to a customer-oriented, intercultural and forward-looking operating environment
- Set up and improve transparent KPIs to manage productivity, cost structures, delivery performance and resource planning
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Process Engineering or a comparable technical field
- Several years of leadership experience in operations, manufacturing, engineering or a comparable industrial environment
- Proven ability to build structure, introduce standards and develop effective operational routines
- Strong ownership mentality: proactive, reliable, implementation-focused
- Good intercultural understanding and the ability to work effectively in an international business environment (European business experience is a plus, e.g. Germany or France)
- A key role in building and developing a strategically important site
