Supervisor – Machine and Plant Engineering

For more than 95 years, VetterTec, headquartered in Kassel, Germany, has been developing and manufacturing machines and systems for industrial drying and dewatering, primarily for the food industry. As a world-wide operating company, we generate more than 85% of our sales abroad. The key to our success is our team of over 160 employees at six locations. 

To strengthen our team in Pune, India, we are looking for a Supervisor.

Your Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for the planning and coordination of assembly work for large-scale projects, commissioning and service work on machines and systems in and abroad with regular assembly phases of a few weeks to months
• The coordination and technical management of external fitters as well as external companies and subcontractors is your responsibility. Of course, you will support employees in improving work processes
• Your task is to monitor and adhere to deadlines, quality specifications and costs; you also monitor and check the execution and results of the work
• Your role involves routinely / daily submitting reports on the project status (including required documents such as plant overviews and revision plans) to customers and internal project management. Through your feedback of experience, you make a decisive contribution to the optimization of processes
• Your focus is on the successful completion of construction projects! To this end, you regularly liaise with customers, suppliers and subcontractors on the one hand and internally on the other
• Post sales support on maintenance activities and Inspection visit
• You are responsible for the retrofitting activities alongside the clients

Your Profile:

• You have a degree in mechanical or process engineering or at least a diploma from a reputable university.
• You are a professional in site management in the field of plant construction, mechanical installation and commissioning of process plant equipment; you already have a minimum of 5 years of work experience.
• Experience or understanding of Tube bundle dryers, screw presses, Flash dryers etc. is good to have.
• You have knowledge of good engineering practices in heavy machine installation
